Following a recently-reached agreement concluded with the Islamist militants, Syrian units started their sweeping out operations in western Al-Qunaitra province.

The agreement stated to hand over all villages to the government troops, as the evacuation of militants to northern Syria’s Idlib province in return.

Pictures released online feature Syrian troops walking inside the formerly-controlled Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) town of “Al-Hamidiyah” that witnessed heavy battles during the 7-year Syrian war.

At the meantime, the engineering units of the Syrian Army are doing their job by clearing the area from IEDs and landmines.
