Kurdish forces deny losing key city in north Aleppo to Turkey

The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) refuted claims circulated by Turkish media outlets about the Turkish military’s control of the city of Tell Rifaat in northern Aleppo.
“All allegations about Turkish military and its proxies taking over the city Tell Rifaat are false and merely lies. Our forces are now stationed at al-Shahba and ready to repel the occupation”, YPG spokesman in Afrin said.
Pro-opposition sources reported that a Turkish delegation entered Tell Rifaat to make consultations with Russian officials.
Turkey’s Erdogan had previously confirmed that his forces “will respond to Tell Rifaat residents and liberate the city from the terrorist groups”
