WATCH: Shocking footage of mudslide caused by dam collapse in Brazil

Shocking CCTV footage released on Friday captures the moment a dam at an iron ore mine collapsed in the south-eastern city of Brumadinho on January 25, resulting in a deadly mudslide overrunning the area and destroying buildings in its wake.

The mudslide can be seen engulfing the company canteen of mining giant Vale, who were responsible for the collapse, as well as neighbouring buildings.

The disaster has left over 300 people dead or missing and wreaked havoc on the environment, with potentially toxic mud covering an area equivalent to the size of 100 football pitches.
