This followed a report that the IDF was preparing to complete operations in preparation for a ground operation in Rafah, and a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened that “in the coming days we will increase military pressure on Hamas.”

Netanyahu has insisted for more than two months that the operation in Hamas’s last stronghold in the Gaza Strip is only a matter of time.

Now, it is expected that there will be an operation as complex as the military operation – perhaps even more important in the eyes of the world, the evacuation of the more than a million displaced people who came to the city that became their refuge during the six months of war.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal yesterday, Egyptian officials have received an update on Israel’s evacuation plan, which previously reportedly includes the intention to buy tens of thousands of tents for those evacuated from Rafah.

But Egypt denied this acknowledgement.
