North Korea threatens to use nuclear weapon without hesitation

North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has threatened that his forces will use nuclear weapons “without hesitation” if his country is attacked by South Korea and its ally the United States, state media reported.

The North Korean Central News Agency quoted Kim as warning that “if the enemy tries (…) The use of armed forces to infringe on the sovereignty of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (…) The DPRK will without hesitation use every offensive force it possesses, including nuclear weapons,” he said, using his country’s official name.

The agency pointed out that Kim’s statement came on Wednesday, during his inspection of a military training base for special forces west of Pyongyang.

Earlier this week, South Korean President Yun Suk-Yul threatened during a military parade of his country to “end the North Korean regime” if Pyongyang uses nuclear weapons.

“If North Korea tries to use nuclear weapons, it will face a decisive and overwhelming response from our military and from the US-Korea alliance,”Yun said.
