Israel informed US of the attack on Damascus and the fighters in the air

CNN quoted US officials as saying that Israel had notified the United States of the bombing of Damascus and fighter jets in the air, without specifying the target.

Wihle the Pentagon said ” We do not know the nature of the facility that was targeted in Damascus, but we do not support the targeting of diplomatic facilities ” .

On Monday evening, the Syrian Ministry of Defense reported an Israeli airstrike on the building of the Iranian Consulate General in the Syrian capital Damascus.

The consulate building also housed the residence of the Iranian Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, Hossein Akbari – the latter was not injured during the attack. According to a statement by the Syrian defense ministry, the consulate building was completely destroyed as a result of a missile attack
