North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has overseen live-fire drills involving “newly-equipped super-large” multiple rocket launchers, a day after South Korea and Japan reported the country’s launch of several short-range ballistic missiles, its first such test in about two months.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw a successful test of a solid-fuel engine for a “new-type intermediate-range hypersonic missile”, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on March 20.
According to the news agency, the test was carried out a day earlier by the North’s Missile Administration at the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground in the northwest of North Korea.
