WhatsApp changes its terms

WhatsApp will make changes to its terms and conditions in line with the new European regulation.

The new European regulation requires companies to be more transparent in managing and displaying content.

The amendments include additional information about what is allowed and prohibited on the application.

As well as clarifying the European Union requirements that require WhatsApp to allow users to send messages to other messaging applications.

The amendments also address how to moderate content in the Channels feature.

There will also be the possibility of sending some data to third-party messaging services. Which may mean that it is outside the scope of WhatsApp’s data privacy obligations.

On the other hand, WhatsApp will lower the minimum age to use the platform in Europe and the United Kingdom from 16 to 13 years.
