Iraqi Airways announce big news regarding flights to Syria

Iraqi Airways spokesman said on Thursday that they will resume flights to the Syrian capital Damascus for the first time since 2011.
Iraqi Airways starting Saturday will operate a weekly service from Baghdad to Damascus, which has been largely spared from the country’s devastating conflict, the spokesman told AFP.
Last month, Qatar Airways began to fly over the Syrian airspace in their commercial flights after eight years of pause due to the Syrian war.
