Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Russian soldiers with the help of the Syrian Army found the remains of the missing Israeli soldier Sergeant Zachary Baumel who was returned to Israel on Wednesday.
Putin made the remarks alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who arrived in Moscow on Thursday for a business visit and to hold talks with the Russian President for five days before Israel holds its general election.
On his return, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu thanked the Russian President for Moscow’s role in the recovery of the remains of Sergeant Zachary Baumel who went missing during the Lebanon War in 1982.
