The Syrian defensive forces repelled a surprise swift offensive launched by the terror group of Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) in northern Lattakia countryside.

Military source reported on Wednesday that the terrorists of Al-Qaeda-linked HTS attempted to advance toward the Syrian Army positions north of “Rabiyah” town, breaching the truce agreement.

The defensive troops were capable to defend against the militants, inflicting serious casualties among them.

Recently, the Russian air-defenses in and around Khmeimim airbase, downed several armed drones and projectiles launched from the opposition-held areas in the coastal province.
