Map: ISIS jihadists blitz militants near Jordan borders, rebel commander killed
On Sunday morning, ISIS affiliate “Jaish Khaled bin Alwaleed” attacked the rebel positions in “Hayt” village in western Daraa province, near Jordan borders.
According to Amaq, “two ISIS fighters managed – in the early morning- to sneak throughout the opp-held territories, light clashes were erupted, five rebels were killed as a result”
The media branch of ISIS released a statement saying that “the leader of “Shuhada’a Liwaa Al-Mu’aka” was killed along with another prominent commander in “Al-Thawrah brigade”
The Khalid ibn al-Walid Army is an armed Salafi jihadist group active in southern Syria. It was formed by a merger of the Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade, the Islamic Muthanna Movement, and the Army of Jihad, all affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
