BREAKING : Phone call between President Putin and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa

The Kremlin announced today, Wednesday, that Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone call with his Syrian counterpart, Ahmad al-Sharaa , during which they agreed to “continue communications to develop bilateral cooperation.”

A statement issued by the Kremlin mentioned that Putin “wished the Syrian president success during the transitional period in addressing current tasks.”

Putin expressed Russia’s readiness to “continue contributing to improving the situation in Syria, including providing humanitarian assistance,” according to the statement.
