US forces in Israel use THAAD system to shoot down Yemeni missile

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that the THAAD system, which is operated by American forces in Israel, was used yesterday to shoot down a Yemeni hypersonic missile.

The Yemeni forces had announced that they had targeted Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic missile.

However, the Israeli army announced that it was able to shoot down the missile without causing material damage.

The rush of Israelis to enter the shelters resulted in 18 people being injured.
