Syrian Army Secures Hama City and Pushes Militants 20 km Away

Field sources confirmed to Muraselon that violent clashes took place on the night of December 3-4, 2024, between the Syrian army and armed terrorist groups in the northern countryside of Hama.
The sources said that the Syrian army engaged in a long night of clashes with al-Qaeda elements who tried to infiltrate military positions around Hama city.
With air support from the Syrian and Russian air forces, the Syrian forces managed to repel the attack, inflicting dozens of casualties on the militants and forcing them to retreat northward.
On Wednesday morning, the Syrian army launched an attack on the axes of Mount Zain al-Abidin and northeast of Hama countryside, regaining control of the villages of Marashhur and Al-Touba, which are 6 km away from the headquarters of the 25th Division in the Hama countryside.
The opposing Observatory acknowledged the heavy losses among Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (al-Qaeda) and its allied factions during last night’s attack.
The Syrian army continues to target the positions of armed groups in the countrysides of Hama and Idlib and is engaged in fierce clashes in the Al-Ghab plain and the northeastern axis of Hama city.
