VIDEO : US A-10 bombing Syrian Army in Support SFD Attack in Deir ez-Zur east Syria

The Syrian army thwarted an attack launched by armed groups supported by the SDF and the United States on seven villages in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria.

The United States provided air support to the armed groups by having one of its aircraft bomb government forces of the Syrian army near the Deir Ezzor military airport.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that 5 soldiers from the Syrian Republican Guard were martyred as a result of the airstrike.

In a later statement, the Pentagon said that its attack was in self-defense.
