However, you may face the issue of your WhatsApp account being banned due to violating the app’s policies or for other reasons.

Ways to Recover a Banned WhatsApp Account

If your WhatsApp account is banned, you will not be able to use the chat features, and you will see a message indicating that this account is banned from using WhatsApp every time you open the app. If you believe you have not violated WhatsApp’s terms of service, you can request to have the ban lifted through the following methods:

Wait for the Ban Period to End

The temporary ban usually lasts between 24 and 48 hours, during which you can wait for the ban to be lifted automatically. It is useful to review the ban message to understand why your account was banned. WhatsApp usually provides a reason with the ban notification.

Remove Unofficial Applications

If you are using an unofficial app, you should stop using it and download the official app from the Google Play Store or the App Store. This helps you avoid future bans.

Re-register Your Phone Number with WhatsApp

1. Uninstall the WhatsApp application and reinstall it. This action deletes all cache files from your device.
2. On the registration interface, enter the banned mobile phone number.
3. Enter the 6-digit activation code. Once your new account is set up, you should be unbanned by any contacts who previously banned you on WhatsApp.
4. If your account is still banned, you can wait 30 days and then try again.

Submit a Review Request Directly via WhatsApp

1. Download and reinstall the WhatsApp application.
2. Open the WhatsApp application.
3. Enter the banned phone number and click “Next.”

6. Fill out the review request and upload supporting information, including a message explaining why you believe the ban was a mistake.
7. Try to provide as many details as possible about your account.
8. The company will review your case and respond within 48 to 72 hours.
