Early Wednesday, Ukraine launched an attack on a southern Russian airfield using US-supplied long-range missiles, the Russian military reported, promising to respond with “appropriate measures.”
The Russian defense ministry stated that six American-made ATACMS ballistic missiles were used in the attack. Two of the missiles were intercepted by the Pantsir air defense system, while the others were deflected by electronic warfare equipment.
