BREAKING | Israel bombs Damascus, targeting the vicinity of Sayyeda Zainab
On November 10 afternoon, Israeli strikes hit a multi-story residential building in the Shiite town of Set Zaynab to the south of the Syrian capital, Damascus, according to Syrian state TV.
Video footage posted to social networks revealed that the strikes destroyed the entire fourth floor of the building. Several nearby residential buildings and cars were also damaged. Nine people were killed and at least 19 others were wounded, according to preliminary information.
The town was targeted by Israel on multiple occasions in the past, most recently on November 4.
The strikes Set Zaynab came less than 24 hours after an Israeli attack that targeted a radar site located on top of al-Masyah hill in the northeastern countryside of the Syrian governorate of al-Suwayda.
