Satellite images reveals the location of the “THAAD” system inside Israel

The Sanad News Monitoring and Verification Agency of Al Jazeera Network revealed, through exclusive satellite images, the location of the “THAAD” anti-ballistic missile air defense system, which was installed by the occupation army in central Israel.

The satellite images taken yesterday, Wednesday, October 23, show Israel deploying the system within the scope of the “Ahuzam” settlement located in south-central Israel.

The captured images also show all parts of the system, including the control center unit, a mobile missile defense radar, in addition to 6 missile launch platforms that serve the system and are distributed in several locations around it, and each launch platform is loaded with 8 missiles.

The radar used is anti-ballistic missile and can classify, track and intercept them, as it is long-range and high-range, which enables the “THAAD” system to intercept short-, medium- and long-range ballistic missiles.

The range of protection and effective targeting provided by THAAD reaches about 200 kilometers.

An analysis of satellite images obtained by “Sanad” revealed that the system has been activated and entered service, as it is clear from the pattern of distribution of missile launch pads and the location of the special radar installation, that the system is ready to repel attacks.

Navigation data monitored by “Sanad” also showed the arrival of 26 American military transport flights to Israel during the period from October 14 to the morning of October 21, coinciding with the announcement of the arrival of the “Thaad” air defense system to Israel.

This number is considered a record for American military transport operations to Israel within one week since the beginning of the war.
