Musk vows $1 million daily giveaways to boost pro-Trump petition

Elon Musk announced daily giveaways of up to $1 million at random for individuals who sign his pro-Trump petition during a town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.

The tech billionaire emphasized that recipients must agree to act as spokespersons for the petition until Election Day.

Musk’s announcement aimed to raise awareness of the petition amid claims that mainstream media are not covering it adequately. “We really want to get as many people as possible to sign this petition, so I have a surprise for you,” he said. “We’ll be awarding a million dollars randomly to people who have signed the petition every day until the election.”

At the event, Musk selected John Dreher, a self-identified fan of his, as the first winner of the million-dollar prize. The petition promotes the First and Second Amendments, pledging support for free speech and the right to bear arms.

Musk, the sole donor to the pro-Trump petition, has contributed at least $75 million to support former President Donald Trump’s re-election efforts. However, reports indicate that the petition’s canvassing efforts in swing states may not be yielding positive results, with allegations of fraudulent activity in tracking door-to-door outreach efforts.

More about the petition:

The petition promoted by Elon Musk’s pro-Trump America PAC focuses on defending two core principles of the US Constitution: the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of speech, and the Second Amendment, which ensures the right to bear arms. By signing the petition, supporters pledge to uphold these constitutional rights. Musk’s initiative aims to galvanize voters across key swing states by emphasizing the importance of “protecting these fundamental freedoms ahead of the election.”
