Apple unveils the new generation of iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro
Apple has unveiled the latest versions of its iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10, and Airpods.
The company announced during its annual conference today, Monday, the iPhone 16 Pro, which comes with a new 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a larger 6.9-inch screen.
The phone is powered by a new high-efficiency chip called “A18 Pro”, with a 16-core neural engine, which significantly enhances the performance of generative artificial intelligence, increases memory bandwidth by 17%, and the Apple Intelligence feature that works in the “iPhone 16 Pro” is 15% faster than the previous version “iPhone 15 Pro”. The “A18 Pro” chip also contains a six-core graphics processing unit, which significantly improves the gaming experience and doubles the performance of ray tracing.
It revealed that the main camera in the “iPhone 16 Pro” comes with a resolution of 48 megapixels of the Fusion type, with a 5x zoom capability, which will not be limited to the “Pro Max” version only and will be available in four colors: black, white, silver, and “desert” color.
The phone supports 4 studio-quality microphones with noise reduction and the audio mix feature, which helps improve speech clarity with advanced technologies and has the best battery life to date, without revealing the capacity or duration of use.
iPhone 16
The company announced improvements to the new version of its iPhone 16 smartphone, such as the new A18 chip with 3-nanometer technology, which is 30% faster than the central processing unit in the iPhone 15, and the inclusion of a dedicated button to use the camera.
The iPhone 16 features “visual intelligence” through the new camera control button, and comes with the same design as the iPhone 15, with a square frame, a back glass that allows MagSafe wireless charging, the upper Apple Dynamic Island slot to house the front camera and Face ID sensors, and a USB-C charging / data port at its base.
Apple Watch Series 10
Apple unveiled its new Watch Series 10, which will be available in three colors, including gold and dark gray, with matching metal bands, noting that the processor is the S10 and contains a quad-core neural engine, and its titanium body is 100% carbon-free.
One of the features of the Apple Watch Series 10 is its ability to detect sleep apnea, a problem that 80% of those affected suffer from without being diagnosed.
The new watch is characterized by its fast charging, as it reaches 80% in just 30 minutes.
The watch can be ordered starting today, Monday, with delivery starting on September 20, and its price starts at $399.
Apple also revealed during the conference the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which is available for order starting today, and will be available for sale on September 20, with a price starting at $799.
