Ukraine’s SBU security service carried out a record-distance drone strike on a Russian oil refinery located nearly 1,200 kilometers (746 miles) from the border, a Ukrainian defense source said Thursday.
The source told AFP the strike on the refinery in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan was “the SBU’s work” and was carried out at a “record range.”
The source said the drone had flown a distance of 1,500 kilometers.
The source said there had also been a strike on two oil depots in the Krasnodar region in southern Russia.
