Yemen : Ship captain says loud bang heard and a splash and smoke seen

British maritime security firm Ambrey said Today it received a report of an incident 15NM southwest of Aden, Yemen.

The UKMTO reported on its page on X that the  Master reports a loud bang heard and a splash and smoke seen coming from the sea. The Master reports vessel and all crew are safe.

Military authorities are supporting, it added .

Earlier Today ,A  coalition vessel successfully engaged one anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) launched from the  Houthi  areas in Yemen over the Gulf of Aden, the US Central Command (USCENTCOM) said on Thursday.

“The ASBM was likely targeting the MV Yorktown, a US-flagged, owned, and operated vessel with 18 US and four Greek crew members,” USCENTCOM said in a statement.
