Israel threatens to bomb sites in central Iran

Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz said Wednesday that Iran will be attacked inside its territory if it launches an attack on Israel.

Katz wrote on the X platform: “If Iran launches an attack from its territory, Israel will respond inside Iran.”

This comes at a time when Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stressed that Israel “must be punished” for attacking the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has previously announced that the army has “completed its preparations to respond to any scenario that could occur in the face of Iran.”

Israel decided to temporarily close 28 diplomatic headquarters around the world after security warnings and fears of retaliatory attacks by Iran, and announced last Wednesday the reinforcement of its air defense system and the call in additional forces.
