Iran postponed an attack against Israel at the last minute : Israeli newspaper .

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth claimed that “Iran postponed an attack against Israel at the last minute due to US warnings, but it is still expected.” This was after the Israeli bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

A U.S. official said the United States was communicating with the Iranians through what he described as secret channels, noting that Washington was sending messages to Tehran warning it against attacking Israel.

He said the current visit of the commander of the US Central Command to Israel and the region was scheduled before the Israeli bombing of Tehran’s embassy in Damascus.

In addition, Al-Jazeera quoted a US official as saying: “Over the past few days, we have monitored Iranian military movements linked to a possible attack on Israel.”

“The indications we have are that Iran is preparing to attack Israel soon.

Iranian officials, led by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, emphasize the need to respond to Israel, while the Western media continues to analyze through reports the nature of Tehran’s expected response amid the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
