” We destroyed an American ship with naval missiles in the Gulf of Aden ” : Yemeni forces .

Later today , The American-owned ship (“True Confidence”) that was attacked in the Gulf of Aden earlier today was directly hit by a missile. After suffering damage, the crew has abandoned the ship. 3 people on the ship are missing, and 4 suffered from burns, according to Reuters.

The owner of the ship told Al-Jazeera that they have lost contact with 20 members of the ship’s crew, as well as 3 armed guards. The ship continues to drift in the Red Sea as a fire continues on board with two pillars of smoke rising from it.

Hours before the ship was hit, at 03:00 AM Sana’a time, the ship reported to the UKMTO that it received calls for 30 minutes “by an entity declaring itself to be the Yemeni Navy, ordering the vessel to alter course.” At 11:40 AM Sana’a time, the ship was hit by the missile.
