the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully engaged and destroyed two unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen in self-defense, (CENTCOM) said on its “X” page .

One was engaged over the Red Sea and the other was engaged on the ground prepared to launch , (CENTCOM) added .

It was determined these unmanned aerial systems presented a threat to U.S. and coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region , (CENTCOM) noted .
