Syrian Federation obtains FIFA approval to represent Mahmoud Dahoud Syria national team

The Syrian Football Association has obtained the approval of the International Federation of the game FIFA to represent Mahmoud Dahoud of Stuttgart of German Eagles Qasioun.

Dahood, 28, moved to Stuttgart from Brighton a few weeks ago on loan.

Dahood played for Germany’s age groups and represented Germany’s senior national team in friendlies against Turkey and the Czech Republic in 2020.

Dahood is a big addition in the middle of the field of the Qasioun Eagles ahead of the third and fourth rounds of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup against Myanmar.

Syria’s ambitions grew with Argentine coach Hector Cuper, following a historic participation in the Asian Cup, in which the Eagles reached the knockout stages for the first time in their history and narrowly exited against Iran on penalties from the round of 16.

Recently , Noah Chamoun, a professional in the Danish Premier League with Randers, announced that he will represent the Syria national football team in the next stage.
