Netanyahu’s office issues angry statement after Security Council passes Gaza ceasefire resolution

The United Nations Security Council has just passed a resolution calling for a temporary ceasefire until the end of Ramadan, presented by non-permanent member states, with only the United States abstaining (without a veto).

The vote came after an amendment presented by Russia to include the words “permanent ceasefire” failed.

The resolution that passed called for the unconditional release of zionist prisoners held in Gaza.

While , Netanyahu announces his anger at the US’ abstention from the UN Security Council vote calling for a two-week ceasefire, stating that their decision not to veto “harms the war effort,” despite it calling for an unconditional release of zionist prisoners.

As punishment, Netanyahu has withdrawn the “israeli” delegation that was set to head to the Washington DC to discuss the planned invasion of Rafah.
