WATCH: Iran's navy special forces chase away British warship in Strait of Hormuz

Footage has emerged of Iran’s navy special forces units using light attack sea-craft to chase away a British warship in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
The video (shown below) taken by Iranian servicemen documents the pursuit of a British Type-45 destroyer (a mainstay warship of the British Navy) by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval units – a special forces branch of the Iranian military.

The pursued destroyer is alleged to be the HMS Duncan, a Royal Navy destroyer recently sent to Persian Gulf region to escort British shipping into and out of the Strait of Hormuz.
Although the exact date of the footage is not clarified, it is believed to have happened within recent days.
It comes amid heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and the US and Britain, especially after the IRGC’s air defense units downed a 220 million dollar US drone   and its navy special forces seized a British oil tanker (in response to an Iranian tanker being seized by British special forces).
