In Pictures: US Air Force F 35 conduct first airstrikes ever against ISIS in Iraq

The US Air Force F 35 fighters conducted airstrikes at Wadi Ashai in Iraq targeting ISIS tunnel network which mark the first combat employment of the F-35 fighter.
Two F35As conducted the airstrikes using a Joint Direct Attack Munition to strike an entrenched ISIS tunnel network and weapons cache deep in the Hamrin Mountains in northern Iraq.
Earlier this month, US officials said that F35 fifth-generation fighters from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, deployed to al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates to keep watch in the region, marking the first time US F-35s have deployed to the Middle East.
U.S. Air Forces Central Command has published the pictures below of the F-35 during the mission.
