Iraqi and Syrian forces start new military operation to eliminate ISIS from the Iraqi, Syrian border

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced today start of clear-up military operation on the Syrian-Iraqi border in coincide with a similar operation by the Syrian Army on the other side of the border.
Iraqi military commander of the operation said that goal of this operation is to clear over 230km of the border that expands from al-Bokamal in eastern Deir al-Zour countryside all the way south toward Sawaneh, Busairi, T2 in eastern Homs countryside till the Tanf zone.
The military operation aim to fully secure the border area in preparations to reopen the Iraqi/Syrian border crossing in front of trading and civilian traveling.
Recently, ISIS terrorists hiding in the desert near the border starts attacking the Syrian army and allies positions as well as ambushing the army convoys in the area where tens of soldiers lost their lives due to that.
