Syrian Army to Start Idlib offensive in May — Military Expert

The Syrian Arab Army is being prepared to start a military offensive against militants in Idlib province in May after the next round of Astana talks in Kazakhstan, a Syrian military expert said on Wednesday.
During an interview with Sputnik News Agency, Heitham Hassoun said that the Syrian armed forces in direct support of the Russian Air Force will start military operations to liberate Idlib and end turkey’s occupation of the region.
Hassoun also warned of militants’ attempts in collaboration with the western experts to stage false-flag chemical attacks in northern Syria to put the blame on the Syrian government.
The next round of Astana talks is due to be held in Kazakhstan on April 25-26.
