Kurdish Afrin Liberation Forces hit hard the Turkish army in Syria
The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) revealed that their forces managed to destroy a tank of the Turkish army and two military bases in Afrin, the forces confirmed the killing of six Turkish soldiers and wounding several others in a statement published on Saturday.
The text of the statement reads as below:
“In the course of its specific operations against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the area of Afrin and its surroundings, our forces destroyed a tank and a number of bases and centers of the Turkish occupation in the villages of Mariamin and Vilat al-Qadi as well as the village of Kimar during which killed more than six Turkish soldiers and several others were wounded.
In this context:
On April 19, one of our groups carried out a small and medium arms attack from two axes on the base of the concentration of the Turkish occupation soldiers in the village of Mariamin in the vicinity of Shara, where fierce clashes broke out between our forces and the occupation soldiers, a number of soldiers were killed and a tank intervened in the battle to support the soldiers where our fighters targeted it destroying it and killing soldiers who were inside it.
In the meantime, one of the Turkish bases supported their soldiers, where they were also targeted by our fighters with medium weapons. As a result of the attacks, clashes between our forces and Turkish occupation soldiers, consequently, at least four soldiers were killed and three others wounded.
At the same time, our fighters targeted an artillery base in the vicinity of Mariamin village, where it was completely destroyed and two Turkish soldiers were killed and four others wounded.
On April 19, our forces bombed a special base for the concentration of Turkish occupation soldiers in the area of Vilat al-Qadi in the vicinity of the city of Azaz, where the base was destroyed while we could not know the number of dead and wounded in the ranks of the occupation army.
On 19 April, a number of Turkish occupation soldiers targeted our forces with heavy weapons while trying to continue construction of a buffer wall in the vicinity of the village of Kimar in Sherawa district where the results of the operation were not known.
The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) operations room is an insurgent group that is active in Turkish-controlled areas of northern Syria.
