Turkey to take direct actions in Syria after elections – Erdogan

Turkey to take direct actions to solve the Syria issue as the first thing after Sunday’s local elections, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday.
Speaking at a rally in Istanbul’s Kağıthane district, Erdoğan said Turkey will not allow a “terror corridor” to be formed along the country’s southern borders.
He noted that Turkey will take direct action to solve the matter, rather than just sit at the table and address the issue through talks.
Turkey has carried out two cross-border operations against Kurdish militants in northern Syria and has warned that it will launch further incursions if the threats along its borders are not eliminated.
