Tornado Watch issued for Northshore of Massachusetts
NEW ORLEANS — A tornado watch has been issued for the New Orleans metro area and Northshore Sunday.
The watch will be in effect until 6 p.m. and includes St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes.
It also includes Hancock, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pearl River, Pike, Stone and Walthall counties.
The tornado watch was issued ahead of scattered thunderstorms moving into the area Sunday afternoon. The Krewe of Okeanos, Mid-City and Thoth were moved up one hour in an effort to avoid the storms.
The Krewe of Bacchus is still scheduled to roll at 5:15 p.m. Uptown. See below for latest weather forecast.
