Syria ..Authorities seize high valued antiquities from smugglers in Daraa
Syria – Daraa: Authorities on Thursday seized a number of antiquity pieces dating back to ancient historical eras in al-Sanamain area in Daraa northern countryside that had been prepared to be smuggled.
The seized pieces included the Holy Bible, antique vessels, stone figures, various glass and stone pieces, an ornately embossed ring, a lion’s sculpture without a head, a church altar stone, a jar used to collect money and coins dating back to ancient eras.
The authorities also arrested several people while trying to smuggle these pieces out of Syria.
In other context , while sweeping the areas liberated by the Syrian Arab Army in Daraa, the authorities seized amounts of weapons left behind by terrorists in al-Sanamain area, including individual weapons and various munitions.
