US-led coalition strikes Syrian army positions in Deir ezzor

A Syrian military source announced that the US-led Coalition conducted air strike on a Syrian Army post in the countryside of Deir Ezzour in eastern Syria.

The source said that the US raid targeted an artillery camp for the Syrian Army at 11:30 pm on Saturday night (February 22nd) in the al-Sukariya area west of Albuqamal, which led to the destruction of the artillery and injured two soldiers.

The US raid on the positions of the Syrian army coincided with the announcement of the United States decision to withdraw from Syria, amid international skepticism of this resolution.

Previously, the US-led Coalition targeted late last year 2018, Syrian army posts near Altanf base south of Syria with rocket launchers, causing material damage.
