SDF announces it captured 41 positions from ISIS east of Euphrates

US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Sunday it had seized positions from ISIS organization in the last stronghold the terrorists hold east of Euphrates, hours after launching last push to defeat the remnants of the organization.

The Syrian Democratic Forces spokesman “Mustafa Bali” tweeted the SDF troops have made progress in the western axis of al-Baguz town since 7 pm yesterday, and have driven ISIS from 41 positions it once controlled.

Bali said ” the SDF thwarted ISIS counterattack at 4 am on Sunday, and fierce fighting continues inside al-Baguz town”.
