16 civilians killed by US-led airstrikes in Syria’s Deir Ezzor

US-led coalition strikes have killed at least 16 civilians in Al-Baguz town, as part of its bombing of the Islamic State last stronghold in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

SANA quoted local sources as saying that “US-led coalition fighters committed a massacre that led to the deaths of 16 civilians, including children, as a result of intensive strikes on the outskirts of al-Baghuz town in the south-eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.”

Another airstrike was carried out on Saturday by the US-led coalition on the outskirts of Tayana town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, killing 3 civilians.

These raids against civilians were not the first to be carried out by the US-led coalition forces, as dozens of massacres have been committed against civilians since its formation in 2014.
