A historic cooperation agreement between Syria and Iran of 11 items ratified

Syria and Iran signed 11 agreements and memorandums of understanding to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the economic, scientific, cultural, infrastructure, services, investment and housing, according to SANA.

1- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade of Syria and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran
2- Memorandum of Understanding between the Syrian and the Iranian Railways Corporations
3- memorandum of understanding in the field of public works and housing
4- Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of investment promotion
5-Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Exchange of Information Related to Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism

The Iranian Vice President “Eshaq  Jahangiri”  arrived in the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday morning, heading a high-level delegation, on a two-day visit. “Iran will build several power plants in the region as part of a memorandum of economic cooperation with Syria,” “Jahangiri”  was quoted as saying by the Sputnik news agency.

Worth to note that Syria and Iran signed in 2015 an agreement in the fields of energy, industry and agriculture, increasing joint investments and activating the role of the private sector in this field.
