US destroyer provokes a Russian base !

The US destroyer McCampbell came close from the waters of the Greater Butros Bay, Wednesday where the base of the Russian Pacific fleet is located.

“The destroyer McCampbell moved around the Greater Butros Bay to challenge the excessive maritime demands of Russia and to support the rights, freedoms and lawful use of the sea by the United States and other countries,” said Rachel McMar, spokeswoman for the US Navy.

The US spokeswoman claimed that this step is not directed against Russia or any other countries and has nothing to do with the recent incident in the Strait of Kerch.

“My country does not recognize Russia’s demands in this part of the Sea of Japan, and the region is part of international waters because it is more than 12 miles off the coast of Russia,” she said.
