Eastern Euphrates: 14000 Turkish-backed fighters prepare for massive battle

The Turkish-backed fighters of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) are preparing to launch a military operation in eastern Euphrates, which Turkey announced in a few days.

The Turkish newspaper Yeni Shafak reported Thursday (December 13th) that 14,000 fighters from the Free Syrian Army had been equipped to carry out the operation, with full equipment, munitions and weapons.

For his part, spokesman of the “National Army”, Yousef Hammoud, assured the participation of 14 thousand fighters from all factions of the battle.

Turkey has announced to launch military operation against the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) in eastern Euphrates in the past few days.

“Turkey will begin its campaign to rid the Euphrates east of the separatist terrorist organization within days,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a news conference.

The Turkish army sent military vehicles and tanks to the border with Syria, as well as Special forces to several positions on the border, according to “TRT HABER” channel.

The Turkish newspaper “STAR” also reported the arrival of 30 armored vehicles to Afrin also, passing through the area of Qirkhan.
