Yesterday’s enemies, today’s allies: Rebels back Syrian Army in fight against ISIS in Deraa

It is very rare to witness such cases happening in this bloody complicated Syrian war, new intertwining between the warring parties begin to appear in the southern provinces of Syria.

Rebel groups who refused to move into Idlib and accepted the settlement with government, have picked up arms to stand with the Syrian Army as combating ISIS is their major essential goal.

Pro-opposition sources published a picture of a rebel fighter sitting with Syrian troops in an unidentified location prior to the final assault against the Islamic State in west Daraa countryside.

The battles have now shifted to the far western countryside of Daraa where the Islamic State control a swath of land near the borders with the Occupied Golan Heights.
