Moscow condemns terrorists attack in Sweida: Proof of terrorists’ fear of imminent defeat

Russian Foreign Ministry has condemned the terrorist attacks on the city of Sweida in conjunction with terrorist attacks on a number of villages in its eastern and northern countryside.

The Ministry said in a statement that such attacks indicate the desperation of terrorists in the face of their imminent defeat.

“We strongly condemn these acts of atrocity. We offer condolences to the families of the dead and wish a speedy recovery to those wounded,” the ministry said.

The Ministry noted that the successes of the Syrian Arab Army, supported by the Russian air force, in defeating the terrorist organizations, especially Daesh (ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra, made terrorists feel that their defeat is imminent and prompted them to desperately use mass violence against civilians.
