Authorities remove barricades set up by terrorists in Daraa al-Balad

The component authorities removed on Saturday all the barricades that were set up by terrorist organizations on the international highway that connects the Old Customs and the Jordanian borders in Daraa, SANA reporter said

One of the field commanders told SANA that a unit of the Syrian Arab Army removed the barricades set up by the terrorist groups on the road between Daraa al-Balad and al-Jomrouk al-Qadim (Old Customs) crossing, some 1.5 km away from the Jordanian al-Ramtha crossing.

The field commander noted that the engineering units combed both sides of the road and cleared the area of mines and explosive devices planted by terrorists since 2013.

The old customs crossing opposite the Jordanian al-Ramtha one is the second major artery and an important economic gate after Nasseb border crossing in which the army personnel were deployed last Saturday after combing and clearing it of terrorist organizations’ remnants.
