Syrian troops defend deadly ISIS suicide attack in eastern Homs

Syrian Army troops thwarted ISIS suicide attack by a car-bomb on its outposts near the vital T3 pumping station, few kilometers east of Palmyra area.
On Tuesday, at the early hours of the morning, massive explosion hit the government positions that guard the oil-pumping station of T3 in the far eastern countryside of Homs.
Following its surprise suicide attack, ISIS militants launched swift-assault targeting the Syrian Army garrison, reportedly, 8 soldiers killed in action while 13 got wounded defending the station.
The Syrian troops stood steel preventing ISIS to gain any ground there according to military source.
Nevertheless, the terror group didn’t comment or mention any information regarding the attack in rural Homs.
The attack comes one day after approximately 500 ISIS militants arrived at east Homs pocket from a small enclave they had held for a long time in southern Damascus.
According to the field control map, the self-proclaimed group maintains a small enclave in the desert of Deir Ezzor, in addition to areas in the vicinity of the city of Al-Bukamal and along the Syrian-Iraqi border.
