The surrendered militants of Jaysh al-Islam rebel group who have been evacuated from East Ghouta have been stripped off their light weapons after arriving at the northern city of Jarabulus, a monitoring group reported.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Turkey ordered its proxies, Euphrates Shield forces, to confiscate the light weapons of the Saudi-backed group.
Jaysh al-Islam rebel group accepted an evacuation deal with the Syrian government following a fierce offensive launched by the Syrian Army early this week.
Meanwhile, more buses carrying Douma militants and their families are expected to leave the last insurgent-controlled enclave of Douma.
