In Pictures : Syrian military spies appear in East Ghouta’s Douma city

In a surprise development, Syrian military undercover agents have flaunted photos of their presence in the militant stronghold of Douma city in East Ghouta.
The event is identical to what happened during the Syrian Army’s recent Idlib operation where Syrian intelligence spies showed off their presence in various jihadist stronghold towns across the country’s insurgent-controlled northwest.
The existence of Syrian government agents in Douma shows the degree to which military intelligence has penetrated militant ranks in East Ghouta in addition to northwest Syria too.

 
Beyond psychological operations, Syrian military spies often have the job of providing intelligence on terrorist movements and gatherings, carrying out assassinations and relaying coordinates for airstrikes by Russian and Syrian warplanes against high-value targets.
